I hand-blush each doll’s cheeks with natural beeswax, which will gently fade over time, but you can easily refresh it using tinted beeswax like Stockmar.

Doll filling: 100% wool

The doll will be carefully packaged in a muslin bag and shipped in a sturdy cardboard box.

Care Instructions:

If your doll gets dirty, it’s best to spot clean the area with a little wool-friendly soap. But if a full bath is needed, follow these steps:

1. Add a small amount of wool detergent to lukewarm water.
2. Let the doll soak in the soapy water for 15 minutes.
3. Rinse the doll briefly in clean water to remove any soap.
4. Gently squeeze out excess water with a clean, dry towel—avoid twisting the doll.
5. Reshape the head and other parts if needed.
6. Place the doll on a dry towel and let it air dry. You can speed up drying with a cool hair dryer or a fan.
7. To re-apply cheek color, rub Beeswax Block Crayons on a cloth, then gently rub the cloth in a circular motion on the doll's cheeks.

Take the doll outside on a sunny day occasionally—sunshine is a natural antibacterial!

Due to their handmade nature, each doll is unique. All La Lovie dolls are handcrafted by Irene in her Claremont, CA studio, with love and attention to every detail. It takes 4 to 5 hours to craft each doll.
