About

About la Lovie la Lovie began in 2009 with a simple dream: to create comfy, whimsical, and beautifully handcrafted everyday wear for the little ones we adore. What started with luxuriously soft cashmere blankets, sweaters, and leggings soon evolved into something more.

In 2017, we made an exciting shift, focusing our passion on slow-crafted dolls and nursery decor. This change allowed us to dive deeper into the artistry and care that goes into every creation, embracing sustainable living and thoughtful design in new ways.

With many years of doll-making experience under our belts, we expanded again in 2022. This time, we introduced cut-and-sewn doll fabrics to our offerings, inviting everyone to join in the joy of doll-making. Now, not only can you buy lovingly handcrafted dolls from La Lovie, but you can also create your own cherished dolls at home.

Today, each item you’ll find at La Lovie is lovingly hand-sewn, handcrafted, and design in our cozy studio in Pasadena, California. We pour our hearts into everything we make, with the hope of sparking a little bit of wonder and imagination in whoever receives it.

Whether it’s a beautifully detailed doll or a charming piece of nursery decor, every La Lovie product is more than just an item—it’s a piece of our story, thoughtfully made to bring a touch of magic into your home.

About the Founder: Irene

Born and raised in Taiwan, Irene’s love for sewing began at the tender age of 8, when she started making clothes for her dolls. Playing with dolls and creating tiny outfits was a major part of her childhood and remained close to her heart even as she grew up and went on to attend fashion school.

After honing her skills and passion in fashion school, Irene spent 20 years working in the fashion industry. But her love for creating something personal and meaningful never waned, leading her to start La Lovie—a brand where she could truly express her creativity and dedication to craftsmanship.

Today, Irene finds joy in the simple pleasures of her cozy studio, where she immerses herself in the therapeutic process of creating, sewing, and slow-crafting beautiful products. Each piece she creates is a reflection of her spirit, offering beauty, joy, and a touch of magic to those who receive it.
